For those following my Coursera/OSU kerfluffle, I have supposedly been reinstated in the course. Not that this matters much, given that the course ends this week. Heres Courseras letter... Dear Thaddeus, This note is in response to your course experience in Human Trafficking. The stated goal of the course was to “openly discuss trafficking in a constructive manner,” and numerous other learners in the course reported your posts as disruptive and distracting to their discourse on the subject. Ohio State University prioritizes maintaining a constructive learning environment for the 30,000 other learners in the course. In response to complaints, the OSU course team restricted your access to the forums and shortly after, we removed you from the course. Upon review, we would like to apologize for your removal from the course. One of our core values is to put learners first, and barring a learner from a course without appropriate notice does not align with that value. Thank you for bringing this to our attention; as a new platform we continue to develop our practices and this experience will help inform the development of our policies and guidelines. Based on our review, we are reinstating your access to the course. You should regain access in 48 hours. Thank you for engaging with us on this issue. Coursera Community Operations
