For those inquiring about The Diabetes World Summit and whether it applies to Type 1 or Type 2- Although the event is geared toward Type 2 Diabetes and metabolic syndrome, there is still quite a bit of relevant material to Type 1s. There are several speakers who will address insulin in detail and one in particular who is an insulin dependent diabetic (from pancreatic injury) discussing how to eat and live to limit the need for external insulin.
