For those interested I guess it is only fair to give report. My blood work shows I am pre-diabetic which we had already discussed. For that I am making an appointment with my GP to discuss what path I need to take. The only other indicator in the blood work is a B-12 deficiency which can be corrected with a supplement. Otherwise there were no significant factors. The EMG shows I have a slightly pinched nerve in the left elbow. It is not at a level which would require surgery and not significantly contributing to my issues. The right arm issues (burning and spasms) is most likely caused from my cervical spine surgery from a year ago. However I am not sure I agree with this as these symptoms were what I initially complained about at that time. The EMG also showed significant loss of nerve function in the legs most likely a result of the severe lumbar stenosis. I am schedule to have a cervical and lumbar spine MRI to determine the current state of damage. As for treatment, there is little offered. For now the doc wants me to start back on Lyrica and Flexeril, both of which I have taken in the past and neither of which offered much relief. This is nothing that surprises me as going to this doctor was more or less a me being hopeful proposition. So I went. Sometimes there is just not a lot to be done. It seems this is one of those times. Now if you will excuse me I need to find a fire extinguisher to put out the blaze which is my arm.
