For those of us who dig psychedilc music, The 13th Floor Elevators and their wicked lead vocalist, Roky Erikson, occupy a special coveted corner in our hearts. Lamentably, Roky was beset with personal demons; but it was perhaps these so-called demons that, as is so often the case with folks with mental health challenges, charged the mans voice and presence with the intensity and originality that many long for in their idols in the spotlight.
