For those of you asking: My official press statement went public to multiple media sources at approximately 3 PM today. It is now available on social media. I apologize, but I am not responsible for who or what party pulls or comments- positively or negatively- on my official statement. Nor, am I tracking for those of you inquiring about my thoughts on responses to the official statement. Please be aware that I do not represent either birth parent, the adoptive couple or Cherokee Nation. I was appointed as independent counsel for the child, who will advocate all of her rights and interest as is my duty. As highlighted in the official statement, my client has rights and interests due her as a citizen of two sovereigns and a weighing of her best interest today. Thank you for the inquiries, additional requests, and comments regarding my opinions on placement. I am not commenting on placement or current legal matters.
