For those of you that have pulled a tick off the family pet. Please get them tested for lymes decease every 6 months. they cannot tell us the symptoms they are having. My husband was home at the time but my pup had a seizure (very severe) he immediately took her in, the vet took blood and xray and found her brain was very badly swollen he immediately tested her for lymes she was positive. thing is it could have been from one bite last year. the pup was ok one minute then the next seemed to scratching her nose and went into seizure. she is home and on meds immediately to get working on the swelling in the brain, plus the lymes treatment for 10 days. The other two dogs will be tested next week. we have land and they go up all the time. they will be on a very strict preventive regiment this year and forever.
