For those of you who dont know my beautiful wife was diagnosed with a rare and more aggressive form of thyroid cancer shortly after moving to KC and starting a new job. Only .05% to 4% of people diagnosed with thyroid cancer have this form. It has spread from her thyroid to several lymph nodes in her neck. On Aug 13th she went into surgery and it was a success thanks to our AMAZING surgeon. While we have made great progress towards recovery she still has a few hurdles to overcome including iodine radiation treatment and a further scan to determine if the cancer has spread beyond the thyroid and lymph nodes. My wife has been my biggest fan and best friend for 6 years now. She changed my life for the better, and I am forever grateful. My sister-in-law Andrea Arenholz had a wonderful idea to show Caitlin how much she means to us. She is putting together a bunch of encouraging words, prayers, and favorite scripture verses that could serve as a daily reminder for her to get through these next couple of months.
