For those of you who firmly do not believe that God does miracles - TopicsExpress

For those of you who firmly do not believe that God does miracles today, you can stop reading here. For those who want to believe, continue reading... After last evenings post, Jonathan and I settled in for the night. We are sleeping in my office while he is in isolation with his TB. This morning at 3AM he started whimpering, so I got him up to change his diaper. While I was doing that, he suddenly vomited copious amounts of mucous from his mouth and nose, I quickly grabbed the suction machine and began clearing his airway to prevent aspiration. As I was finishing, he stopped breathing. I tried to stimulate him to breath, but with no response. I realized that he was gone and started washing him and redressing him in clean clothes. I was talking to him thru my tears, asking him to wish Jesus a Happy Thanksgiving for me, and especially to thank God for the time that we had together. As I was preparing to call Antonyse who was caring for the other babies to let her know, I slipped his oxygen cannula back in place as he looked more normal with it after wearing it for so long. Antonyse came to see him. I remember telling Jonathan that his cousin, Nathanaelle. would certainly miss him as they slept together prior to his illness. Suddenly, he took a breath thru his nose, then after a pause, he , and took another. Over the next few minutes his respiratory rate increased. I tried to check his pulse ox, but his feet and lower legs were cold, as were his hands. I continued holding him for the next 2 hours, in awe of what I had just seen! His body returned to being warm again and by the time Hal came in at 5:15, Jonathan was looking around and trying to take off his oxygen. He kept most of his meds down again today, and is sleeping peacefully right now. After last night with a couple hours of sleep, I have been tired all day, but certainly amazed every time I look at our miracle Baby. We celebrated our Thanksgiving this evening with our visiting friends. As you can imagine, our hearts were truly full as we thanked God for this day and our many blessings! This a Thanksgiving that we will always remember!
