For those of you who have NOT heard the news yet, it is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Half Nelson on Friday, December 5, 2014. Nelson was involved in a terrible spill during his race at Aqueduct suffering a broken shoulder. The injury was deamed irreparable and he was humanely euthanized at the advice of the veterinarian. I have owned horses for 15 years and this is something I have never experienced and hope to never experience again. You get very attached to these animals. I just wanted to reach out to those who enjoy following horses of mine. RIP Half Nelson. Peace!
