For those of you who saw my last post but had no idea what I was talking about... You may have noticed that a lot of contemporary hip hop and R&B songs on the radio have this weird similarity between them where HEY repeats on a loop throughout the song ad nauseum. This is not because its some cool trend, its because theres a producer named DJ Mustard who SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS and has ZERO original ideas. He is BY FAR the LAZIEST record producer I have heard in my entire lifetime. And yet... guess what?? Hes the hottest urban music producer in the industry right now. THIS is why current hip hop and R&B suck beyond belief. I realize there are a lot of people who would argue that hip hop has always sucked. But I completely disagree. Some of my favorite songs ever made are hip hop songs. Like any other art form, its a matter of creativity and perspective that sets good work apart from bad. This dude, unfortunately, is devoid of either. Laziest. Producer. EVER.
