For those people who arent on our personal pages, earlier this - TopicsExpress

For those people who arent on our personal pages, earlier this afternoon a stranger entered our property, and proceeded to cut a large hole in the wire of our Sulphur Crested Cockatoo aviary. This resulted in the Cock bird escaping, and us contacting the police. Both Chris and I have had to make some tough decisions that will be better for our brand in the long run, but more importantly our Birds. Trespassers entering to do malicious damage to the life of a bird (a captive bred bird that has no instinct to forage naturally has a lower survival rate in the wild) is a big risk to anyone who is a breeder. Tomorrow we will put our new plan into play, which isnt ideal for us but is the lesser of two evils. I hope this event makes people more vigilant about their own birds. There are people out there who have a cruel intent, and do not think carefully about the consequences of their actions. That means that we will quieten down, temporarily, but when we are in the correct situation (new location) we will be sparking back what we have created very quickly. So tomorrow we will begin to advertise the parrots that will not be staying with us, including some of the finest birds weve ever kept. But some will remain with us, just a small number that we cannot part with. Aviaries, cages, and nest boxes will also be for sale. This most certainly wont be a cheap/quick sale situation. We are selling for the safety of our birds, and dont want to devalue them at all. But for serious buyers, which we know there are, this may hopefully be an opportunity for those looking to expand their flock with some of our flock. Thanks James and Chris
