For those that dont already know, I am not a Christian. But my post isnt for this declaration. Boy, I sure hope that I dont offend anybody. :( I do not promote any or no religion. I do not wish to judge others by/for their religion, or lack thereof. Yet, I have noticed that there exists a sort of presumption or privilege, if I dare use this word, with most religions (persons practicing/evangelizing their religion). Yet, in the USA, the predominant religion is Christianity. And my experiences typically involve Christians. There exists, Ive noticed, this presumption of all things Christian or presumed to be Christian. This is particularly striking, to me, when the discussion involves non-Christian cultures (nations?). As with all aspects of our culture that are multiple, I hope that I can remember that others may indeed have/hold other religious beliefs, or none? Let us celebrate diversity!! Please, let one be free to celebrate ones religion, or lack thereof, as one sees fit. Only, please, let us not be so joyful in our own beliefs so as to offend/deny others of their beliefs. Please, check your privilege.
