For those who buy steel and elevators from the ThyssenKrupp group: The Krupp group merged with Thyssen AG in 1999. Prior to that, Krupp appropriated factories stolen by the Nazi regime from their Jewish owners, submitted requests for free labour of concentration camp inmates offered to the armaments industry by the SS in 1944, and engaged in massive human rights buses. 11 defendants were prosecuted in the Nuremberg Trials, indicted for plunder and spoliation of civilian property and factories, deportation and use of prisoners of war and concentration camps inmates as forced labourers, and complicity in aggression and mass murder. They were held criminally liable for the use of slave labour.
