For those who deny the Apostolic Authority of the Bishops of the Church, here is the Apostle Paul talking about not faith alone but the Tradition he taught by his word and ACTIONS. He is talking about the Eucharist and other aspects of The Way of the Life of Faith in Christ Jesus. And in his roll as Apostle, he commands. That idea that anyone in Christs Body The Church could hold authority that he could command the right thing, the right actions, just grates the nerve endings of those dedicated to radical independent spirituality; those who believe in the democratized and even anarchized spiritual Christian church. Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. 2 Thessalonians 3:6 (King James Version) Saint Paul understood, even though Martin Luther did not, that indeed the Just DO live by Faith, but not by faith - ALONE. Would that the Holy Spirit would open to the hearts of those dedicated to democratized Christianity, who sit in groups based on the relativism of modern philosophy believing that every persons theological opinion is equal, and that each persons spiritual enlightenment is equal, and that each persons place in the church bears the same authority and wisdom and worst the group of people in isolation who deny to anyone, any authority over them, whose Christian life is based SOLELY upon their own theology and authority - the Anarchized Church- . . . would that HE would open to them the difference between, Living the Faith *(which has Tradition to inform it) vs arrogant presumption of salvation by the mental concept of faith ALONE. These are two very different propositions and experiences. Faith without PROPER ACTION of FAITH, (works) is a dead religious sickness.
