For those who grew up watching New York City television, you might remember the pioneer late night TV talk show host on WOR, Joe Franklin (who Billy Crystal liked to parody on Saturday Night Live). Joe has been comforted by hospice care recently, and died Saturday from prostate cancer. Back in the day, he interviewed many future stars when they were just starting out...including Woody Allen, Bruce Springsteen and Barbara Streisand, just to name a few.
