For those who have been watching the new CSI New Orleans, I heard - TopicsExpress

For those who have been watching the new CSI New Orleans, I heard the entro when the show starts and the singer sings the words boom boom boom and wondered where that came from, I know the original CSI had the song from The Who as did the old show, CSI Miami. I found the song from CSI New Orleans. From a John Lee Hooker. A article I seen said Hooker recorded Boom Boom in 1961, and Vee-Jay Records issued it in early 62. It reached the R&B Top 20 that summer. And it is a classic. No argument there. Hooker explained his inspiration to write it. When hed frequently show up late for a gig at a Detroit bar, the female bartender would say boom boom! before commenting on his lateness. https://youtube/watch?v=wSnQ0bdHW0s
