For those who have qualified to receive their medication at no - TopicsExpress

For those who have qualified to receive their medication at no cost through a patient assistance foundation program, have you received a notice that you will be required to sign up through the Health Care Marketplace through Obamacare? Purdue, the company who supplies my Oxycontin, has instructed me that since I qualified for my medicine through them I will need to sign up through Obamacare (and the assumption is I will continue to receive this medication for free), but after I created a Marketplace account and viewed the plans available, it appears that I am going to have to be paying $$$ out of pocket now just to receive pain medication Ive been receiving for free the last 6 years. What confuses my situation further is the fact Im STILL in the middle of a disability claim (the last 4 years). The SSA has already declared me disabled, but the ongoing battle is WHEN I became disabled. Since AS is a progressive disease, there is no ONE point in time that my condition would become so disabling as to meet their criteria for listing 14.09C. So, basically Im stuck in a loophole it seems, and this bullshit is messing with my pain medication, so if there is any gap in coverage or conflict with future deliveries, I will quickly go into withdrawal (and that in itself can lead to seizures and even death). So, for those of you who claim to think Obamacare is helping you, there are millions of others that it is screwing. This is not from me i removed the identity.
