For those who may not have heard, Rod had a stroke late Wednesday night and has been in the hospital since then. It was a Hemorrhagic Stroke which occurs when a blood vessel in the brain ruptures and spills blood into the surrounding tissue. First and most importantly he is ok. He is a little tired, is weak and has some difficulty getting around but he is lucid and has been his ornery self. He will be in the hospital until Monday and then will be transferred to a rehab facility for 7-10 days. Second, we want to thank all of our family and friends who have come out to say hello, offer help, thoughts, and prayers. It has made this time easier for all of us. Right now what Rod needs most is some rest so we can keep his blood pressure down. This will greatly help his recovery. A little quiet and some cat naps will have him feeling better in no time. I will be sure to keep everyone up to date on his recovery as the news comes in.
