For those who may not understand why I consider Master Yi highly right now - consider the champions that are being picked right now. Maokai, Braum, Nunu, Elise, KogMaw, and such. It is very true that CC locking a character like Yi will kill him but only if you have the damage to back it up. Even so if your team has two threats on your team (Yi being one) the enemy may only have enough power to lock one down while the other runs amok. The idea with Master Yi is that the champions being picked right now are pretty passive for the first few levels (when Yi is weak) and wont bother Yi much if at all. You will have the chance to rev up and come out dealing far more damage than these tanks can handle. To add to this, most of these champions dont have strong blinks (if at all) and Yi will just mow them down. I did gloat in a previous Nautilus game how I countered Yi so hard with my choice but the difference there is that Nautilus has multiple forms of CC that actually does work on Yi. Nunu cant do squat to Yi and the others have some sort of conditional CC that Yi can outmaneuver. Like Ive mentioned for other champions, it is not that Yi got much better its that the favored choice right now are making it a better haven for certain jungler picks.
