For those who might have missed this announcement.....I wanted to give an update on the Seeds of Change Grant that our farm Heritage Creek Farm Camp, Mt. Joy, applied for. Thanks to all of the wonderful support (and votes) from our local community, we have moved on to the second round of the grant process. There were over 600 farms nationwide that had applied and only 50 were selected. Hershey Community Garden was the only other PA farm/garden selected. We will hear whether we will receive the grant on May 5th. 17 of the 50 farms/garden will be awarded grant to be used for sustainable agricultural projects in their community. 15 $10,000 grants will be awarded and 2 $20,000 grants. Thank you to all those that voted for our farm and send us good wishes that we are among the 17 recipients!
