For those who think the ACA or obamacare has no downside: My mother in law has a private health insurance plan she pays for each month. Today she was told by her insurance company (via her surgeons office) that they will not be covering a heart surgery she had scheduled for tomorrow, and further more will not pay for the heart surgery she had in October, or the pacemaker she had placed earlier this year. They are citing policy changes and a pre existing condition as the reason not to pay. So now, she and my father in law face outstanding medical bills of $39,000+ on a fixed income before she can schedule the surgery she was going to have tomorrow. Thank you obama for lying to the american people yet again about being able to keep your same health plan,same coverage at the same price.
