For those who want to attend the preliminary court hearing for the case against Alvon Ladd, the young man who attacked my son, it is set for this week, Tuesday, May 20 at 1:15pm at the Dane County Court House, 215 S. Hamilton Street in downtown Madison. You can check the video screen when you arrive or ask which courtroom the hearing will be held in. Its really hard to sit here and see my son, who Lisa Peyton Caire and I love deeply and have worked hard to take care of and keep safe all of his life, smile and joke with us while also dealing with the pain and frustration of what happened to him. Until this morning, we struggled for two days to stop a line of blood that was draining down his face from the incision that was made to repair his skull fracture. The blood finally stopped flowing last night. But now he may have to go in for another surgical procedure to further repair the fracture; well find that out Tuesday as well.
