For those whove asked and anyone interested... Another update of these travels. #thirteen-ish Today is yet again the end of another stage or epoch. Saying goodbye to what has been my home for whats felt like years, but in reality has been a mere 4 months. At times it has been the extent of my world as weve crossed oceans together. Sailing non stop, day and night, for weeks on end. Proteus you have been good to me and even though you require lots of care and maintenance you have been a pleasure to sail. I will now carry my only physical possessions down the dock to a new vessel which will become my new abode. She is 82 feet and a stunning beauty to say the least. We will depart Antigua heading to St Martin for spare parts before fueling up in the British Virgin Islands. With hopefully a day off to play in the crystal clear blue waters. Setting sail from here will be the beginning of my venture to a place which for a long time, I called home. In one sense it has felt very quick. Yet also incredibly long, a far-reaching journey around the world. Although near, it is not yet finished. Having crossed over 25,000 miles of sea, another 2000 miles sounds quite small, but from experience I am aware that even the shortest passage can become a daunting task. If unprepared mentally or when facing the disgruntled elements two weeks at sea can feel like an eternity. Days lately have been full of goodbyes & farewells to friends and fellow sailors. All departing, setting sail and making way to different parts of the globe. Some now as close as family after the unforgettable experiences shared together. Those of you know who you are, and I send my best to and with you as your travels continue... Questions of whats next? Persist in the minds and hearts of many. Only the individual can truly begin to answer this for themselves. May we all, no matter which walk of life, continue to move forward into desires and dreams, goals and aspirations. Intentionally pressing into the passions we know and finding the ones not yet discovered... Happy Easter to you all.
