For those wondering how we missed the fact that our beloved little boy, Lucky, (aka The Panther) developed cancer and had to be put down, this is Dawns breakdown of the situation. WARNING, she is not happy about a certain vets office in Stoney Creek. Comes to that, neither am I: #BeattiePetHospital Rate Beattie Animal Hospital? Negative stars. Took my cat Lucky in with a urinary blockage at 11 at night. Four days in the Stoney Creek Mountain location, and a 1500.00 bill that wiped out my ODSP arrears payment. Prescription food. Catheter. Urinalysis. All was put down to Struvite crystals. Today we took him to East Mountain Animal Hospital, because he was straining again, and I was told theyll help with payments. The vet there immediately knew something else was up, saying his bladder felt hard. They did an xray, and took him into surgery when it showed the mass. We hoped it was stones. It was inoperable cancer. Maybe if youd caught it last month something could have been done. Now Ive lost my boy, and you have all of my money. Literally. Eating out of food banks. Rent hasnt been paid. My MIL put today on her credit card. I hope you made a nice profit. ~Dawn Marie McIlmoyle
