For too long the Israelis have traded on the goodwill resulting from the Holocaust in WW2. Now they have become the perpetrators of dreadful atrocities and refuse to sit at a peace table. They act on their religious principle of an eye for an eye and are supported by the Americans with its enormous Jewish communities and it fundamentalist Christians who support the Israelis on religious grounds also. 2 religions of the Book opposed by a religion of the Book. There will never be peace in the middle east until these opposing fanatics are prepared to acknowledge and respect their differences. I just dont see it ever happening.
