For two consecutive nights, the iconic Empire State Building in New York will be bathed in blue, red, yellow and white, as it lights up to resembles the Philippine flag. As stated in their official website, the Empire State Building will light up colors the same as Philippine flag on the evening of Friday, November 15 (Saturday morning on Manila) and on Saturday, November 16, saying that “Empire State Building Raises Awareness and Support for Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines”. The Empire State Building, a towering 103- story skyscraper that is part of the Manhattan skyline, is a famous New York tourist destination, an icon of popular culture as it appears in numerous movies through Hollywood history. The building’s LED tower lights are lit to honor social key milestones, events, charitable organizations’ activities, countries and even holidays throughout the globe.
