For weeks I have been busy planting seeds that will become flowers and vegetables in my gardens this summer. I have always loved plants and am thankful that my Dad nurtured that love by always giving me a little patch of dirt to till and seeds to plant. I remember him creating a small flower garden for me rimmed with broken cement patio blocks he had somehow acquired. Today, like every day, I am thankful for my Dad and the love and wisdom he gave me oh so long ago. But when my hands are dirty and I watch seeds grow, I somehow think of him more dearly and miss him just a little bit extra.
