For weeks, I have been quoting Adrienne Rich when talking about the future of aromatherapy with friends and colleagues: All who sleep in this room dream of a common language. And, I might add, a united front. Perhaps NEVER more than now. On Tuesday, the FDA formally warned Young Living and doTerra. And rightly so in my opinion. The links below are perhaps the most *wonderful* thing that could happen to aromatherapy. They are also among the most TERRIFYING. What will it mean for the rest of us, those of us working with oils independently, responsibly, effectively, and thoughtfully on behalf of informed clients who have provided complete health histories and whose solutions are crafted so that harm comes to none? Whose work extends into esoteric and energetic areas? For those who choose to engage with clients legally and ethically in the scope of their states Health Freedom Act? I dunno. However you look at it, for better or for worse, it looks like it is officially on.
