For whatever reason, Im kind of a mess today. Emotional. Thinking about all those kids, young people, who flung themselves into the water off the coast of France and took bullets for the future --- not necessarily theirs but definitely ours. Met my mom for lunch, and we talked a little about our trip there a while back and I couldnt really talk for too long without getting choked up. Finally settled on talking about another trip, where I visited the War Cabinet Rooms in London, that Churchill and others used as a bunker during all the air raids ... and then got all choked up again when I recalled that you exited the bunker through the gift shop (yep, they do that too over there) and I heard this song playing; it was big in World War II. I stood in the gift shop and cried. Oh, well. One of those days.
