For years I have been hearing that the neighborhood used to have a key for the watering system so that we could help water the grounds at Marion Park. The key reportedly broke a long time ago and no one could ever get a replacement key from NPS. Maybe staff have changed in the intervening time? I dont know when someone last tried to get a key, but I asked for one yesterday and within 24 hours I got the following reply from Doug Carr: Ms. Nead, I dont see any reason why we couldnt provide you a Skinner Valve key to assist with watering the grounds. I will get with Mr. Sledge to coordinate this process. Well be in contact. So, that sounds good! Of course, I dont yet actually have a key...
