For years, first ladies have had issues that they are particularly passionate about. Michelle Obama’s project has been stopping obesity, and the president’s administration has poured $500 million into the effort. However, a new study shows that – surprise – it’s not working. We were all dubious when Michelle announced that Jane Fonda is her role model. And we all cried “foul” when Obama used taxpayer money (around $800,000) to pay for Michelle’s birthday gift. He has even complained lately about the fact that the First Lady doesn’t receive a salary. But this new study suggests that the Obama Administration may have thrown away yet another 500 million dollars of taxpayer money. It seems that the strategy to fund stores that sell healthy fruits and vegetables is not quite as successful as the Obamas wanted it to be, and it’s resulting in some major fallout for the program.
