For you, my beautiful wife, Cathy, on our 18th Anniversary. The - TopicsExpress

For you, my beautiful wife, Cathy, on our 18th Anniversary. The Mother’s Day rhyme earned me a plus, I know Im no poet, so I am writing about us. It’s been nearly two decades since we met, I thank God for Al Gore and his Internet. As the poster says it so artfully on our wall, “You’ve Got Mail” became our lovers’ call. We met and we married within a year after that, And bought a house before we wed with a family door mat. Our life it was tough but always with love, We were blessed from day one with grace from above. With you, and our son, Aaron, we have never been alone, You gave us a daughter to love and complete our home. The love that we share grows stronger each day, Our 18th year of marriage is just the start, so I say. We will see 20, then 30 and 50 and more, By our sides we each stand to love and adore. The marriage vow your dad read said ‘til death do us part, But even in death you will forever hold my heart. With the love of our Savior, we will never die, And in Heaven we’ll share joy and never a sigh. You see, Cathy dear, our destiny was set, Even before AOL and in that chat room where we met. I have loved you each day for nearly 20 years, I am thankful for the laughter and am sorry for the tears. On this blessed day we celebrate the single life our two lives complete; Happy Anniversary, Cathy, loving me takes patience, it’s quite a feat. But loving you is as easy as the day can be long, Because with you, I know, for eternity I belong. I love you, my Doll ... Your BW forever.
