For you to Dispute! **** Senator Ibikunle Amosun ii. The daily carnage being witnessed at the Mobalufon Junction on the Sagamu – Benin Expressway at Ijebu Ode is now a thing of the past with the completion of the flyover, saving countless lives. It is sad to recall that the last major accident at that location claimed about 50 lives. iii. The ancient city of Abeokuta, the State capital now wears a 21st century look. Major roads have been modernized with six lane boulevards, complete with road furniture. The flyovers at Itoku and Sapon which have been completed are now easing the traffic congestion significantly. iv. The completion of the Orange Valley Estate and the manner in which it has been embraced by young working families has announced Abeokuta as an attractive location in which to live work and play. v. The old look of Ota township and its environs is being transformed. All the major roads within the Ota Township have been reconstructed into six and four lane boulevards. An ultra modern shopping mall with a mixed housing development is being built, with commissioning slated for March 2015. Meanwhile work will shortly commence on the Abeokuta Mall, whilst malls at Ijebu-Ode, Agbara and Sagamu will follow in quick sucession. vi. Another historic town, Aiyetoro has dramatically changed with a wide six-lane road, complete with sidewalks, the hallmark of a modern urban centre, where vehicular traffic is separated from pedestrian traffic. vii. The huge response to our ongoing Homeowners Charter programme has demonstrated that a critical need of our people is being addressed by the opportunity to acquire property documentation in a seamless manner. On Monday 24th of November we will begin the distribution of Certificates of Occupancy for the first 5000 successful applicants under the programme. viii. Now that the rains are almost over, work will commence fully on our rural road programme coupled with rehabilitation of township roads to be handled by local contractors. This will further create jobs for our people. All these developments have had direct benefit of creating over 30,000 jobs and built the capacity of our artisans and craftsmen through skill development and acquisition. #MISSIONTOREBULIDCONTINUE
