For you who didnt have a great year. For you who is not having the holiday they wish. For you who are wondering, Why not me? while endlessly scrolling through the countless perfect Christmases here on Facebook and other social media sites. For you--I understand. Ive been there and suspect most who are having great holidays have, too. This is only my third married Christmas, which means doing the math, no matter how good this one or future ones might be, the majority of my holidays have been alone and will be alone. I will never forget. They make this one so much sweeter even if I dont open a single present. They make me hold space for you. Happier, better times can be ahead. Good gosh, if they found their way to me, it can happen for anyone. So, go ahead have your cry, your lonely, your woe is me moment. Leter rip, knowing that at least one person is out here remembering, appreciating and holding space for the joy I believe is coming your way. You dont have to believe in your Christmas wish. Tonight, I believe for you.
