Abundant, nourishing rain began to fall as our Yagya was underway. Our August 2012 appeal for “rain where needed” achieved the very same result. The National Yagyas work. Today we are facing a different kind of challenge. If you have been following the news, you know that the situation in Ukraine is precarious. Passions are enflamed, and powerful nations have taken menacing and provocative actions. We have the technology to defuse the tension and avert this danger—as long as we can apply it to a sufficient degree. As a first step, generous donors from the U.S. and abroad moved quickly to fund a large Maharishi Yagya for peace in Ukraine that began on March 5 in India. Already we are seeing promising signs of de-escalation. The next step is to have a bigger Yagya, with even broader support. The next 11-day U.S. National Yagya will start on the evening of March 17. The Sankalpa (intention) of the Yagya will be: A peaceful, non-violent and speedy resolution to the danger in Ukraine; and A permanent group of at least 2,000 Yogic flyers, including Maharishi Vedic Pandits, in Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City.
