Weather Situation A high just to the northeast of Tasmania will continue slowly southeastwards over the Tasman Sea, ahead of a trough and weakening front that will cross Tasmania during Monday. A weak ridge of high pressure will extend towards Tasmania on Tuesday with a trough lying near the northeast of the state as a low passes south of the Bight. The low will move to the south of Tasmania during Wednesday, with a trough to cross the state followed by a cold front.
