Forecast for Monday and Tuesday A major rain event with one of the wettest days in months is unfolding for our region, totals expected are going to be between 30mm - 50mm. This is thanks to a broad trough and a slow moving low pressure system within the trough line conditions exist to cause a decent fall of rain along a very broad area of the state tomorrow. There may also be some embedded Thunderstorms in this event in the rainbands so the odd rumble cannot be ruled out. This event will affect the entire Illawarra region and many surrounding ones too, however our details are aimed specifically at the Illawarra forecast area only. Further commentary may be provided should something significant happen else where. Sky conditions Monday Cloudy, areas of rain developing in the morning, a small chance of Thunderstorms throughout the region (AM/PM). Tuesday Mostly Cloudy, rain easing to Isolated showers, a small chance of Thunderstorms persists until the evening.
