Weather Situation A high centred just to the southwest of Tasmania will over the state during the early morning bringing mostly clear skies and cold conditions to most areas, before slowly away to the east later in the day. The high will then move only very slowly eastward across the Tasman Sea on Friday with a freshening northerly airflow as a cold front approaches from the west. The front is expected to cross the state during the day on Saturday, bringing a westerly change as a new high develops near the head of the Bight.
