~Forgiveness and condemnation~ Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained. Forgiveness is a challenging thing for many of us. The pain and anguish caused by one to another can be life threatening and affects the whole being of a person. It seems easier for us to condemn those who have hurt us than to let go of the offense. And so Jesus Christ reminds us that He Himself was hurt, beat up, crucified and died. Yet, He forgave everyone for they know not what they do. May the good news of God inspire us all to forgive, let go of the offenses of those who have caused us so much pain. Let us be thankful that we are not in the place of the offender. And we are now given the opportunity to follow our Lord Jesus Christ to live a holy life, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Amen! I pray for us all to be able to receive the grace of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit to be able to forgive and forget the offenses of those who have offended us. Amen!
