Forgiveness will not be possible until compassion is born in our heart. In order to be compassionate, you have to understand why the other person has done that to you and your people. You have to see that they are victims of their own confusion, their own world view, their own grieving, their own discrimination, their own lack of understanding and compassion. I get the meaning of the above statement. I forgive quite readily when I believe the person who has hurt me is truly sorry for their actions or words. No problem with that. The problem is that trust has been broken and once broken can never be repaired fully. That little inner voice remains vigilant always and thats as it should be. Shared from Jacquie Groves
