Forgot to share the wonderful moment that we experienced on Thanksgiving Day. On our way home from having a wonderful get together with relatives we drove by Desoto Bend Wildlife Refuge which is in far western Iowa near the Missouri River we spotted something huge flying low over a field. It was a beautiful white snow owl who landed in that field not 30 yards from us. I have never seen one in the wild and it was a breathtaking sight. I love eagles but this was something extra special. No photos to share but the memory will be one that will last forever for me.
