Formal thanks will come later today... with all parties properly tagged... but I just wanted to thank all of you who joined us for the 2014 World Zombie Day event on Saturday! Let me tell you all the reasons that I count this as a successful event: 1. We had an abundance of extremely generous sponsors giving us so many great prizes I almost ran out of time to raffle them off! 2. We had a terrific and enthusiastic bunch of vendors and volunteers - who came early, stayed late, and helped whether they had to or not. 3. We had a generous and patient venue who put in a lot of extra work due to our crowds and didnt rail against us even when folks FORGOT their manners and smeared blood all over the walls outside when asked not to.... *facepalm* 4. We had a great crowd... one of our largest so far. I know this because approximately 300 of you actually signed in... and there were a lot of you who didnt! Again... we were using that list to track numbers only ... so, maybe we can get ALL of you to sign in next year? :) 5. I dont have the weight yet but I feel safe in saying that we raised twice/thrice the amount of food as last year. It took two car loads where neither car barely had clearance... and THAT is the true measure of success here... because raising lots of food for DANIEL KIDS was the ENTIRE PURPOSE. THANK YOU ALL!!!
