Former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada Endorses local Liberal Imran Mian for the riding of Mississauga-CooksvilleMississauga – Grassroots Liberal, business leader and prominent community advocate Imran Mian, has received the official go ahead from the Liberal Party of Canada to seek the nomination for the riding of Mississauga-Cooksville in next year’s federal election.Mian, a candidate for the 2010 Liberal nomination for Mississauga-East Cooksville, expressed his delight at achieving this first milestone on the road to representing the people of Mississauga-Cooksville in Parliament. “I am excited to have this opportunity to seek the nomination and am greatly encouraged by the support that so many have shown for my candidacy,” said Mian. Since the May 2nd federal election, he has continued to engage the residents of Mississauga-Cooksville and has helped to organize town hall meetings focusing on the issues of healthcare, immigration and party renewal. “Justin Trudeau’s leadership has given Canadians and Liberals hope for a better Canada.
