Former EastEnders star Scott Maslen has revealed that he misses the show following his exit in October. Maslen - who played Jack Branning for six years - said that he misses the financial stability the soap offered him, as well the close friends he made on set. Speaking to Star magazine, he said: I miss EastEnders. Its like being at school, when youre in an institution like that. You become close friends. It was a really fun place. When asked what he misses most about the show, he quipped: Its quite an obvious thing... finance! However, the actor said that he still believes it was the right time to leave the long-running soap. Youre in this cycle of stories and theres not much more to do. I felt it was a good time to step back and look at what else I could do, he explained. Jack was last seen on-screen leaving Walford after realising he had no future with on-off girlfriend Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack). He recently starred in the pantomime Aladdin at Bournemouths Pavilion Theatre.
