Former Executive Director for the Leonard Peltier Defense Committee, Dorothy Ninham, has gone on to address some of the most painful and historically impactful issues that have faced Native Americans by establishing the Blue Skies Foundation, Inc.. These issues have had a generational affect, and the wounds are evident on the faces of our Native Children still to this day. There will be a Tribunal on Oct 22-25 2014 in Oneida, Wisconsin to address the experiences of Native children, who were forced at a very early age to attend Indian boarding schools, robbing them of their own culture, traditions, values, languages, and so much more. This is also part of Leonards own history, as his incarceration started long before prison, in one of these very boarding schools.
