Forty Days to the End of the Earth I will try to give brief - TopicsExpress

Forty Days to the End of the Earth I will try to give brief updates here on my latest adventure, which is a trip to Spain. I was to leave yesterday, but my flight was cancelled. Now I leave a day later (today, Wednesday, May 28). I return on July 8. I am planning to hike the Camino de Santiago, the Way of St. James, but my real goal is Finisterre, a town on the coast of Spain. Finisterre means End of Earth so I thought a more interesting title for my blog would be Forty Days to the End of the Earth rather than Camino. It has a kind of double meaning that I like. I will be in the wilderness for forty days and nights, like Jesus, contemplating my life. And who knows, the earth may end in forty days. I was inspired by the Martin Sheen movie The Way. Watch it if you havent. This will be my transition adventure entering my retirement as of May 18 and now a way of grieving the loss of my sweet mother, who died last week. I will be writing a lot, but do not expect to be able to post full stories here. When I get back, I will develop the stories and do something with them, not sure what yet. But I will at least try to post brief updates. Thanks for those who have shown such sweet interest in this adventure.
