Forty-eight people have been disqualified from public assistance programs after violating program policies, the Department of Public Health and Social Services said yesterday. Of those, 26 were disqualified for failing to timely report employment and another 20 were disqualified for crediting ineligible items with their benefits card, which Public Health considers trafficking. The remaining two were disqualified for failing to report the loss of household members.
