The Southeast Valley is still cleaning up after multiple microbursts uprooted trees, tore apart house frames and downed FIVE SRP power poles. This is one more reason SRP should not run the proposed 230kV lines through Germann, Dobson, Ellis Road & AZ Ave. There are better locations for risks associated with 150-foot poles. The best option is for poles to run off roads near the desert or farm areas. Poles downed in a field or the desert will cause a power outage and inconvenience. However, a pole downed near a home has the potential to cause structural damage and will cause landscaping damage, traffic problems, and stress to the residents in the impacted area. Another reason to put lines elsewhere!
