Foster home or homes needed... Jay Cannaday OK folks, there is a budding emergency here in Baker County FL. I got a phone call from an obviously ill, elderly woman today. She said that she was going into hospice any day now and that her husband is having cancer surgery this week. The foremost problem in her eyes is her four dogs. No close trusted family- son is in jail and nobody else close. She has an 11 year old great dane x lab mix, a purebred boxer, a purebred jack russell terrier, and a 14 lb chihuahua mix- all were strays she said; all are current on their vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. She does not have computer access, nor does she have a friend or neighbor with that access. She is going to be needing a place for her dogs VERY soon. I promised her I would TRY to help but could not guarantee; obviously she does not want them to go to Animal Control here. There are no pictures, so please dont ask for them; I cannot provide them. All dogs get along well with other dogs AND cats- she also has a couple cats.
