Found an old curtain rod with the 6mm screw socket firmly embedded, too good an opportunity to waste this was the end result. A deep channel routed out of the rear of the wooden dowel so it lines up with protruding screw heads in the tube, these stop it rotating when the finder twists the top, container drops out of the bottom and is easily relocated so the lid can be screwed back on, this also keeps the rain out!
